KGS America offers an extensive array of ferrites including clamp-type (also known as split-type or two-piece cores), single-piece type (includes sleeve and toroidal shapes), flat cable cores (in both split and single-piece), flexible ferrite cores (for delicate cables and portable devices), broadband amorphous cores, and automotive-grade cores that can withstand high temperatures and high vibration environments.

KGS brand EMI absorbers have a strong adhesive on one side to
adhere to almost any surface. Most of KGS absorbers can be cut to size with scissors or cutting knife. The absorbers are simply applied directly on the noise source for effective EMC suppression before the noise can spread or cause cross-talk. Applying EMI absorbers at the noise source also allows to reduce the amount of material used on the device (as opposed to an entire wall or panel away from the noise source). EMI absorber materials can be time- and cost-saving solutions that can be used when there is no time or budget allowed to re-spin the board.

EMC grounding is one of the most cost-effective ways to reduce EMI noise at the board, cable, and system levels. The most ideal EMC ground is a short and wide connection with low impedance, especially when grounding problematic frequencies above 200 Mhz. Some examples include SMT spring contacts and snap-in grounding spacers for PCBs, 360° metal clamps for cables (primarily to ground the shielding on the cable), and grounding straps for cables and enclosures.

KGS’ EMI shielding materials help with sealing or grounding EMC noise entering or exiting a device. Using shielding can be crucial for long-term reliability of your design. KGS’ shield include a wide variety of products including electrically conductive fabric-over- foam (FoF) gaskets, conductive EZ foams, shielding tapes (copper, embossed copper, aluminum, and conductive fabric), cable shielding jackets (adhesive or Velcro closure), metal mesh tape,and thin conductive films (transparent and non-transparent). Depending on the application, KGS EMI shields can be used alone or in conjunction with another solution material (such as EMI grounding parts or EMI absorbers), typically with double-digit attenuation levels.
